Swimming
Our 25 metre pool is one of the most impressive areas of our sports complex. We have six lanes and host many sessions throughout the week to accommodate the competitive swimmers or ones who prefer a more leisurely pace.
Our timetable is comprehensive and below is a description of the sessions.
POOL SESSION DESCRIPTIONS:
EARLY RISER (Lane Swim) – Members early morning swim session. We currently have 4 double lanes in the pool, with a maximum of 8 swimmers in each lane. There are four categories depending on the lane you choose these are Slow, Medium, Medium & Fast.
LANE SWIM – This session normally takes place at lunchtimes or evenings. We currently have 4 double lanes in the pool, with a maximum of 8 swimmers in each lane. There are four categories depending on the lane you choose these are Slow, Medium, Medium & Fast. Children are permitted to attend this session but they must strictly swim lengths, following the lane etiquette protocols.
ADULTS ONLY 18+ only (Lane Swim) – This session normally takes place at lunchtimes or evenings. We currently have 4 double lanes in the pool, with a maximum of 8 swimmers in each lane. There are four categories depending on the lane you choose these are Slow, Medium, Medium & Fast.
FAMILY SPLASH – A fun session for families. Please note one parent/adult guardian must be responsible for a maximum of 2 children under the age of 8 years.
A strict lane etiquette applies to Early Riser, Lane Swimming & Adults Only sessions.
SWIMMING HYGIENE
- Please ensure you shower before entering the pool
- We advise that swimming hats & googles are worn for adults and children
- Babies & Toddlers must wear swim nappies in the pool
