We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated individual to take on this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and providing specifically Studio Cycling classes for our customers.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate drive, determination and a positive commitment to delivering high standards at all times. They will be enthusiastic and inspiring and have a passion for promoting health and wellbeing to our customers. They will be able to build positive relationships with customers to increase retention and customer satisfaction. Candidates will need good timekeeping and excellent communication skills. The main components of the role are the flexibility to cover a variety of classes as and when required with a view of having permanent classes in the future.
The post holder will have specific responsibility for, and is expected to have experience of:
- Working currently as a Studio Cycling group fitness instructor
- Working within a customer-focused environment
- Working within the leisure industry
- Coaching any area of health or fitness
- A current Studio Cycling qualification with at least 1 year experience.
- Current insurance

Job description
St Andrew’s is a flourishing, forward thinking co-educational IAPS prep school preparing its 306 pupils for a range of senior schools, both locally and nationally. A number of children win scholarships to their senior schools, as they move on to the likes of Abingdon, Bradfield, St Edward’s, Pangbourne, Downe House, Marlborough, The Oratory and Radley College.
The Sports Centre Duty Manager plays an important role in ensuring the safe running of the Sports Centre when it is being used by commercial hirers. We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working person to maintain the facility and ensure it is safe, clean and well-presented. The ideal candidate will have the National Pool Plant Operators qualification, but this can be obtained after appointment. You will be responsible for carrying out pool water tests and ensuring the sports facilities are prepared for the chosen activity. You will be confident in greeting regular customers to the facility and ensuring their safety. An up to date first aid qualification or National Pool Lifeguard Certificate would be desirable but not essential.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate well and work as part of a team or independently, plus confidence and a willingness to ‘get stuck in’ to deliver high standards.
The hours for this role are 08:30 – 14:30 on Sunday.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our friendly duty team to lifeguard, set up sports equipment, serve customers and help ensure that the facility is safe, clean and well-presented. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate well and work as part of a team or independently, plus confidence and a willingness to ‘get stuck in’ to deliver high standards.
The team of three Lifeguards form part of the duty shift rota, which covers the entirety of the opening hours of the complex, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
Past experience of working in a leisure or customer service environment would be advantageous, but all relevant training will be provided.
We pride ourselves on providing ongoing training so you can develop your Sports & Leisure experience for the future. Previous Lifeguards have been supported in their training and gone on to become Duty Managers, Swimming Teachers & Fitness Professionals.
You would need to be an NPLQ qualified Lifeguard or be a strong enough swimmer to be able to pass this qualification prior to your appointment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Swimming Teacher to support our very busy Children’s Swimming Lesson Programme that takes place at Weekends during the school term and some School Holidays/Half-Terms.
The successful candidate will be required to teach swimming lessons on a regular basis on a Sunday afternoon and also assist with adhoc cover. We follow the Swim England ASA programme teaching from Ducklings to stage 10.
You will need a Level 1 & 2 Swimming Teachers Certificate, and the National Rescue Award would also be desirable but not essential. You will need to be welcoming and flexible in your approach and be able to work well within a team environment.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate that they can communicate well with young children and have empathy in their approach. Alongside good time keeping and organisation skills.
